Sample Itinerary

The trip begins in the evening before our first day of adventure, you'll check into your lodge in the late afternoon and meet your guide for a drink and to chat about what to expect over the next few days.

Day 1 - After a hearty breakfast at the resort, we'll head out to the beautiful Kawartha Highlands Park for a day of paddling and exploration. We'll start off with a short paddling lesson to build technique and confidence before heading out to explore the park. We'll paddle through pristine lakes, along rugged shorelines and past picturesque streams, enjoying a late open air lunch by the water. After a majestic day exploring Ontario's aquatic wonderland, we'll head back to the resort to relax by the beach before wandering into town for a delicious local dinner.

Day 2 - We'll start off day two with a luxurious, energy-filled breakfast before heading out for today's cycling adventure. We'll saddle up and meet our guide for a beautiful ride through the gentle hills of Kawartha Lakes' farm country, stopping along the way to explore scenic towns and enjoy delicious local cuisine and coffee. For the food lovers out there, we have a unique opportunity to cap off the day with a private farm to table dinner at a boutique local organic farm with fresh, grass-fed wagyu beef, organic vegetables and local wines.

Day 3 - For our last day of adventure, we'll explore Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands, southern Ontario's wildest provincial park. Your guide will lead the way as you hike through rugged trails and search for wildlife including moose, beavers and snapping turtles, in this pristine wilderness. Our exploration of the park will be tailored to you! We can enjoy a full day of hiking, extending the mileage and venturing deep into the park, or we can make use of the unique wilderness area to learn wilderness survival and primitive living skills such as shelter building, fire building, navigation and more!
